Note! There are different (alternative) principles for calculating divisional charts; in these calculations, a "cyclical" ("mathematical") method is used, i.e. the same as used in calculating the Navamsa (D9) by Parashara. However, some other vargas (D3, D4, D5, D10, etc.) are calculated according to the method described in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, differently (not by the "cyclical" method). In addition to the Parashara and "cyclical" methods, for some divisional charts there are additional calculation methods that completely change the view of the chart.
The cyclical calculation method is used by Parashara for the following divisional charts: D7, D9, D16, D20, D27. Therefore, in these vargas, there will be no differences with the jyotish softwares (most of them) in the calculation results. It should also be taken into account that Rahu and Ketu are calculated using two different algorithms, resulting in true lunar nodes and average lunar nodes. Between them there can be a difference of less than 1 degree, which is sensitive when building divisional charts. For this reason, Rahu and Ketu can fall into neighboring signs sometimes in different softwares.
Panchanga
Panchang for this day
(Indian traditional lunar calendar)
Samvatsara - the solar-lunar year of the sixty-year cycle is called: Pramathi, which means:: Assertive. Sets the general mundane (world) influence at this time.
Masa - lunar month: 9. Margashirsha.
Nakshatra (the Moon constellation): 15. Swati (MS) (mobile). The Moon is in this Nakshatra from 31.12.1999 13:37 to 1.01.2000 16:03, has passed 39%.
Moving constellations favor fleeting, intense and temporary affairs. During this period, it is good to carry out events designed for a short period of time or quick changes. You can purchase vehicles, hold meetings, planning sessions and training, change jobs or types of activities, go on visits, move from one your home to another, carry out short trips and travel, do gardening, repairs and household chores, start treatment, conduct processions, carry out logistics and sales, you should NOT start things that require long-term efforts and are designed for long-term results.
Sunrise on this day: 8h 59m, sunset: 16h 6m (local, standard time), length of the day: 7h 6m, length of the night: 16h 53m. length of a day`s hora: 0h 35m. length of a night`s hora: 1h 24m.
Dawn (beginning of morning civil twilight): 8h 13m, end of evening twilight: 16h 52m, Sun culmination (true noon): 12h 32m.
Abhijit Muhurta: 12h 8m - 12h 56m. An auspicious time around the culmination of the Sun, suitable for most undertakings (except Wednesday).
Brahma Muhurta: 7h 23m - 8h 11m. The hour of Brahma, starting 96 minutes before sunrise, - the best time for spiritual practices, prayer and study.
Vara (day of the week): Friday, (Shukra vara), (the day starts at sunrise). Has passed from the day: 63%. Make sure the ruler of the day of the week (Venus) is strong in the rasi-chakra.
Shukra vara is the day of Venus (Friday). All manifestations of beauty and harmony find their support and development on this day, therefore, most worldly and spiritual affairs that do not rely on brute force are good to begin or implement at this time. The day is especially good for marriage, hiring workers, building relationships, creativity, music, singing, dancing, poetry and holding holidays or performances, it is best to schedule a romantic date at this time - it will add additional shine to decorations and a special aroma to flowers, and tact to the owners of all this. It is also good to study secret and spiritual sciences, conduct a prayer service, funeral service, wake, carry out treatment, cosmetic procedures (including getting a haircut), prepare food, sew clothes and put on jewelry. Transactions, contracts, meetings, trade, moving and relocation, gardening work, construction and decoration, games (including gambling), storage, preservation or conservation - all these works can also be scheduled for Friday. You should NOT show anger, start quarrels, military maneuvers, start hostility or file a lawsuit, steal or take away anything, or perform hard, monotonous physical labor.
Current hora (hour): 18, the ruler of the hora: Saturn, has passed from the hora: 61%. The ruler of the hora is the friend of the ruler of the day.
Tithi (lunar day): 25 (10). Krishna-Dashami, the type: Purna (Fullness). The Moon passes this tithi from 31.12.1999 06:43 to 1.01.2000 08:33, has passed 67%.
The tenth day of the waning moon is protected by Dharma, which favors virtuous deeds, religious events, spiritual practices, as well as other pious activities. You can start any important work.
Yoga (combination of Sun and the Moon): 7. Sukarman (virtuous). The Moon forms yoga from 31.12.1999 09:49 to 1.01.2000 10:07, has passed 58%.
Karana (half lunar day) 7. Visti (MS). The Moon passes this karana from 31.12.1999 19:35 to 1.01.2000 08:33, has passed 34%.
Notes!
1) Panchang indicators are arranged in decreasing order of their importance. Nakshatra and day of the week have priority influence on time and person.
2) If the ruler of the day of the week is strong in the horoscope, then the influence of this factor of panchang will acquire an additional favorable character. And vice versa.
3) It is good when three or more of the panchang branches have a beneficial effect. This is easy to understand by looking at the color of the accompanying panchanga indicator. Green color and its shades are favorable for various peaceful affairs. Yellow indicates the need to be circumspect, and red (and its shades) indicates problematic influences. Other colors can be near the `nakshatra` indicator and they require separate study, although, as a rule, they indicate favorable opportunities.
4) Panchang indicators are secondary to the horoscope and its effects.
5) In the subject of prashna (horary astrology), it is favorable when the ruler of the hora (hour) coincides with the ruler of the day, and when the ruler of the hora is a friend of the ruler of the day. This is a chance for a positive answer to the question asked. It is also believed that the ruler of the hora and his position in the horoscope, plus the houses it controls, characterize the question of the customer (which led him to the astrologer), as well as his immediate prospects. Thus, the ruler of the hora is considered along with the ruler of the lagna (ascendant).

Parivartana yoga (reception) between: Saturn (5, 6) and Mars (3, 8).
Notes to the table! This table reads only from left to right (not from top to bottom). The houses in the left vertical column are active, i.e. acting through a ruler planet on another house or its lord. There are 7 possible conjunctions between planets, listed in descending order of strength:
1) Mutual exchange of signs / houses - parivartana yoga.
2) Mutual aspect. The lord of house A aspects the lord of house B and vice versa.
3) Mixed type of connection. If planet A is aspected by planet B, from the own sign of planet A.
4) One planet rules two houses at once.
5) The ruler of house A is in house B.
6) The ruling planet of house A is aspecting house B.
7) The ruling planet of house A is aspecting the ruling planet of house B.
The first 4 types of connections (yoga) are mutual and therefore the most effective, strong. The next 3 types of connections are one-way, in which house A (left vertical column) acts on house B (top horizontal line). At the intersection of rows and columns, you can see if there is a connection between houses and what types. Each number is a link leading to a comment (in the cell - the same one) describing the possible results of the impact of house A on house B. When you hover over the number, a tooltip should appear in which the current planet is indicated (the owner of house A from the left vertical column) and its strength by position, control houses, placement in the map, type of connection.
| green | Raja yogas (power, status) and the like. |
| red | Arishta yogas (difficulties, troubles, suffering). |
| blue | Jnana yogas (knowledge, education, research, intellect). |
| grayish | Viparita yogas (success after difficulties and suffering). |
| light green | Moderately favorable combinations of different species. |
| light red | Even if a favorable commentary is given to the combination, there will be (moderate) tension and stress that accompanies these events. |
With the help of color highlighting, you can visually assess some of the trends and perspectives of the horoscope, as well as the prevailing influences. It should be borne in mind that not all combinations (yogas) have equal strength, on the contrary, their weight varies greatly depending on:
1) The strengh of the planet forming yoga, according to the position (the exaltation of the planet and the position in the own sign - give the best result).
2) The functional status of this planet.
3) The number of connections between houses and the strength of each of the connections. The more of them and they are stronger (closer to one), the more reliable the influence of yoga is manifested.
4) The natural (inherent to the planet by its nature) status and power of the planet.
In order to correctly interpret the horoscope, you must first identify the strongest yogas and determine the time of their implementation according to Vimshottari dasha. Some combinations of the horoscope (good or bad), even if strong, may not find a special manifestation in a person`s life if their period according to Vimshottari dasha does not occur during the period of youth or maturity of a person.
Thus, one must first study Parivartana yogas and the following 3 connections, for the strongest planets in position, taking into account their nature, and then make sure that the main period of the planets found will occur on time, only then can correct conclusions about astrological influences be made.
In general, there should be a balance between green, red and blue. Since without suffering a person does not develop, and without knowledge and favorable opportunities he will not be able to realize himself.

By clicking on the start date of the period, you can see the list of sub-periods of the planet.
n order for a planetary period to give predominantly good results, the planet must be functionally positive, in a sign or exaltation (not be in exile, debilitation, and not be burned), and it is also desirable (but not necessary) to be a natural benefactor (positive in nature). See tables above.
Periods are calculated from the Moon for a sidereal year of 365.256365 days. The method is sensitive to inaccuracies in calculating the position of the Moon even in a few seconds of arc, therefore, an error of several days is possible (this also applies to the site and stationary programs)
If you see contradictions in the indications of periods and sub-periods (as well as other factors of the horoscope), then it may be both. If the contradictions are mutually exclusive, then what you encounter several times more often will manifest itself. Clouds gather when you see a negative influence both in the position of the planet and in its periods, but even in this case, the negative influence should occur at least 3 times more often, the opposite in meaning.

Divisional charts
Shodasha-Varga (16 divisional charts of Parashara) and other divisions
Note! You can calculate about 60 variants of divisional charts by selecting them from the drop-down list. There are different (alternative) principles for constructing divisional charts, but the classic and basic methods are those described by Rishi Parasara in the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra. He also collected the most important of them in groups of 6 (shad-varga), 7 (sapta-varga), 10 (dasha-varga) or 16 (shodash-varga) divisions. In each group, the number of times a certain planet occupies its own sign, moolatrikona or sign of exaltation is counted. The resulting number determines the strength of the planet in divisional charts - amshabala.

| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Note! Ashtakvarga shows favorable influences from the relative position of the planets (from all the planets in the birth chart for the studied one) in one or another sign of the Zodiac.
Bhinna AshtakaVarga (BAV) - is considered for one specific planet or Lagna.
Samudaya-ashtakavarga (SAV) - the total influence on the sign and house, from all sources (BAV of the 7 planets). There are disagreements whether to include BAV of the Lagna in SAV or not. Most often, BAV of the Lagna are not taken into account in SAV, and then we are talking about SAV of 337 rekhas (wholesome points). But, there are supporters of including BAV of the Lagna in the total amount and then they talk about SAV from 386 rekhas. There is also confusion between northern and southern schools of Jyotish as to how to call positive points from the planets in ashtakavarga. Some call them rekha and others call them bindu. And negative scores, respectively, vice versa. On this website, the names rekha and bindu only refer to positive scores! Negative scores are usually not studied, only the lack of positive ones.
Here is the argumentation of those who take into account BAV of the lagna in the total amount of SAV (according to the book "Ashtakavarga" by M.S. Mehta)
1) Parashara gave Ashtakvarga of the Lagna also to make it Ashtak (eight). He allocated only 49 bindus for this.
2) The ashtaka of the lagna is an essential factor in order to calculate the lifespan.
3) While the lagna is fixed, its lord gives effects in transit. (Also, every day the lagna circles the entire Zodiac in 24 hours. The score of the birth lagna thus shows those signs of the Zodiac that will be better or worse from the position of muhurta - the selection of the best time for undertakings).
Most astrologers are of the opinion that only 337 bindu should be used, here are their arguments.
1) In the bhinnashtaka of the various planets, auspicious places from the lagna have already been taken into account. It is useless to add it twice.
2) Lagna is a fixed concept and has no transit. (Debatable, see muhurta argument above.)
3) If Ashtak of the Lagna is added, the Sum of Sarvashtakavarga becomes 386, which divided by 12 gives us a result of 32, but all Ashtakvarga sources use 28 bindus as the average strength for the Sign.
Please note that on the website the calculation of Ashtakvarga is carried out according to the tradition of Rishi Parashara. There are minor differences in the tradition transmitted by Varahamihira. For this reason, SAV calculated according to Varahamihira may differ slightly from this one in 2-3 points.
According to ashtakvarga, AyuAshtakvarga is calculated, i.e. the average life span that the ashtakavarga may promise, but this should not be confused with the actual human life span, which can be either longer or shorter than promised, depending on a large number of other factors in the horoscope.

Note! Angular aspects are used in Tajaka astrology to determine upcoming events (applying aspects) or difficulties (separating aspects - effort spent on something that will not succeed).
A notation like >60< 6° 2' means that there is an applying aspect of 60 degrees between the planets, with a deviation from the exact value (orb) of 6 degrees and 2 minutes of arc. Applying aspects are highlighted in green.
A notation like <90> 4° 51' means that there is a separating aspect of 90 degrees between the planets, with a deviation from the exact value (orb) of 4 degrees and 51 minutes of arc. Separating aspects are highlighted in red.
Whether aspects are applying or separating is determined from the positions of the planets approximately 2 hours after the time of calculation. If after this time the orb decreases, that is, the aspect becomes more exact, the aspect is marked as applying. And vice versa. Sometimes it is important to check whether the planets will actually reach the exact aspect - the applying condition cannot guarantee this. For example, if a planet slows down and then turns retrograde, an applying aspect may in time become separating without reaching the exact value, which hinders the event. When determining aspects to the Lagna, it is considered the fastest point of the horoscope.
Aspects of 60 and 120 degrees are considered friendly; when applying, they give events that come together by themselves, without much effort. When separating, they give departed opportunities, losses without grief or regret.
Aspects of 90 and 180 degrees are considered hostile; when applying, they give events that will require great effort to realize. When separating, they show loss after struggle and great effort.
An aspect of 0 degrees is "mixed", and its nature depends on the condition (strength) and the sphere of responsibility (functional status) of the planets forming it.
The orbs (deeptamsha) of the planets - the allowable deviation from the exact value of an angular aspect - are calculated as the arithmetic mean of the allowable values of the two planets in the pair. For the seven planets these values are as follows: the Sun - 15 degrees, the Moon - 12, Mars - 8, Mercury - 7, Jupiter - 9, Venus - 7, Saturn - 9.

Note! Sahams are similar to the "parts" (lots) of Western and Arabic astrology; they are calculated as the distance between certain planets measured from the Lagna. As a rule, the calculation of a saham differs for day and night horoscopes. The Punya saham is similar to the "Part of Fortune" and is the most important one in the chart, showing overall well-being and the inclination to perform virtuous deeds. For more details on this topic see the book by Dr. K. S. Charak "A Textbook of Varshaphala: Vedic Technique of the Tajika or Annual Horoscopy".
A saham gains strength when:
a) The lord of the saham is exalted, is in its own sign in the main chart and in the divisional charts, or is placed in a good house and in friendly signs.
b) The saham is conjoined with a planet friendly to its lord, or with a natural benefic planet, or with the lord of the year.
c) The lord of the saham is conjoined with it or aspects it, or aspects the Lagna.
A saham becomes weak when:
a) The lord of the saham is weak by Pancha-vargiya-bala (Vishva-bala less than 5 points).
b) The lord of the saham is weak by placement in the main chart and the divisional charts.
c) The lord of the saham is neither conjoined with the saham nor aspects it.
d) The saham is conjoined with a planet hostile to its lord, or with a natural malefic.
e) A saham in the 6th, 8th or 12th house, or one aspected by the lords of these houses, is considered weakened.
Sahams bring results during the dashas (planetary periods) of their lord.
The Punya saham should be studied in detail along with the Muntha and the lord of the year. Also, for the best results, it should be strong in the birth chart as well.
